اس جنگ کے نتیجہ میں تیس ہزار مسیحی ہلاک ہوئے اور اتنے ہی قیدی بنا لیے گئے۔ رینالڈ گرفتار ہوا اور سلطان نے اپنے ہاتھ سے اس کا سر قلم کیا۔ اس جنگ کے بعد اسلامی افواج مسیحی علاقوں پر چھا گئیں اور انہوں نے پیش قدمی کرتے ہوئے بیت المقدس کا محاصرہ کر لیا اور 2 اکتوبر 1187ء کو بیت المقدس فتح کر لیا۔
